Michal Trpák

Czech artist Michal Trpák studied at the Academy of Art and Design in Prague and has been working as a freelance artist since 2007. Trpák is an extremely busy man, who cares for more than just his own artistic work and its presentation at home and abroad. He also organizes an annual sculpture exhibition in the public space at České Budějovice, Bohemia and is in addition an impassioned traveller who seeks and finds new inspirations in far corners of the world, such as Alaska, Kamchatka, and the Himalayas. And yet despite all this he has still managed to find time to get his doctorate.

As broad as the spectrum of his activities is his artistic work. Trpák is a painter, graphic artist, designer, and sculptor, and even has a great penchant for architecture: he designed his sculptor’s studio himself together with an architect, shaping it from sandstone, wood, fiberglass and bronze.
