1964-1966 Attended the Saxon Academy of the Arts under the tutelage of Prof. Bammes

1966-1971 Attended the University of Industrial Design Burg Giebichenstein in Halle/Saale, Diplom degree

1971-1985 Became a freelance sculptor in Dresden, Berlin and Potsdam, primarily in the area of architecture related art

1980-1984 Lectureship for Sculpture Design, School of Advertising and Design
Potsdam/Havel

1985 Relocation to Baden-Württemberg after applying for a relocation in 1983.

1988 Since then, he lives with his family in Rudersberg Lectureship for Artistic Craft Techniques Freie Kunstschule Nürtingen

"Wolfgang Knorr’s sculptural work can be classified under the category of 'Realism'. His works harbour a good dash of satire and pro- vocative humour, at times featuring enjoyable ease. In satirical style, he transfers our greatest needs into a joke, something absurd or a fairy-tale".
