Daniela Staub

Daniela Staub says, that it was the encounter with the works of Auguste Rodin during a period of study in Paris, which inspired her interest in the visual arts. But one and a half decade passed by, before she dared to become a sculpture. But then, she pursued her dream with great dedication: Staub learned the nude modelling on the European Art Academy (Europäischen Kunstakademie) Trier, studied modelling at the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts (Internationalen Sommerakademie für Bildende Kunst) in Salzburg, nude modelling in New York and finally she completed a study of sculpture in Florence from 2008 to 2011.

In her works, which have been mostly nude models, the immense impression can still be felt that once Rodin projected onto her: "The beauty and perfection of each individual body," says the artist, "triggers a feeling of happiness in me, which I want to share with the viewers of my sculptures."
