1938-1941 Attended junior high school in Berlin-Moabit
1941-1943 Apprentice sculptor to professor Arno Breker; apprentice stonemason
1943-1947 Labor Service, military service and prisoner of war
1947-1952 Studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin with Professor Alexander Gronda
1952 Educational trip to Italy
1953 Educational trip to Greece and Crete
1954 Awarded the Georg Kolbe Prize by the City of Berlin; moved to Stuttgart, Germany, attended teacher seminary of the Free Waldorf Schools Teacher of sculptural arts, woodcarving and drawing at the “Zur Uhlandshoehe” Free Waldorf School in Stuttgart, Germany
1955-1969 Working as free-lance sculptor, lecturer at various seminaries
